I was about to appoint someone to write the article for this event but then actually who would be better suited to write than me, the organizing chairperson. During the planning stage there’s already a fear of not enough people coming for the event but nevertheless the event went on. The day arises and what has been worried about really did happen. People are already here, the place has already been rented, there’s no other option but to go on.

The event started with the introductions of the emcees, Leo Eric Teh (aka Organizing Secretary) and Leo Mayuri (aka Organizing Treasurer). The emcees then invite Leo Chew Chien Lung for the flag salutation and then the Leo pledge. After that was the opening speech by the organizing chairperson, Leo Leong Wai Yew. After the speech the games commences. It started off with limbo rock. Every participant tried to limbo over the string as it goes lower and lower. People kept trying until they fail and fall and finally, the winner arises.

With the end of that 1st game, the second game which was the bush dance started. It was taught and conducted by Leo Beatrice Grace. It was a dance where you will switch you partners and get to know your new partners. At the beginning, many didn’t really get it and ended up with confusion but after a few more tries people seemed to be getting the hang of it and started making a new friend for every move.

Next it was wrapping the mummy to hit the piñata where the participants were split into groups and choose one person where they wrap the person as a mummy. This part was conducted by Leo Lee Jun Hsien. The mummy then took turns attempting to break the piñata in one hit. That went one for a few rounds but somehow the piñata didn’t break and so we opened it up to all participants to get a try. In the end it broke and everyone rushed to grab their share of sweets.

Following up was the best dressed award where 4 guys and 4 girls were chosen as nominees to come up on stage. This was conducted by Leo Lee Jun Hsien as well. They 4 girls were paired up with the 4 guys and they were given a prop where they were required to dance using it. The OC, Leo Leong Wai Yew and the organizing club president, Leo Beatrice was requested to demonstrate and of course they did. It was then the participants turn and one by one they did their unique performances. The winning pair was then chosen by the cheers of the crowd.

The winning team was given a prize but that wasn’t the end for them. The other group was given a “Trick or Treat”. They get to pick a prize or choose to dare a member from the organizing club to do something. Leo Eric Teh, Leo Lee Jun Hsien as well as Leo Leong Wai Yew were dared to perform their individual dances proposed out by the participants. The last dare was pointed to Leo Beatrice Grace and Leo Wong Wei Jheng where they’re required to slow dance.

That was the opening of the dance floor. Guys went around getting a partner to slow dance with them. Gradually the song gets faster and things get upbeat. Lights were dimmed and everyone got to release themselves. Everyone got to dance freestyle just letting out what’s inside of them. That was the last agenda in the event.
